Wait out the storm in Watersong... (Open!)

Lara watched the weather closely. Looked like it was going to be a rough night. The storm had swept in a little further down the coast and it was headed their way. The bar wasn't completely full but storms either cleared out the patrons or brought them. Judging by the steadily building trickle, this was a 'bring them in' kind of night.



Stepping behind the bar, Lara grinned at Michael. "Might be busy. Better get some vodka on ice...I think snowy cocktails are going to be in demand tonight." Michael only grunted and sighed in a put upon way. She laughed and went back to her stool at the end of the bar looking out over the filling dancefloor.

"My attractive has been rubbing off on Lara for a while," Levi said with a grin. Everything he had heard about Davin was that he was a nice kid. He knew about the attack of course, from the police report if nothing else. It wasn't his case though and Lara hadn't asked for his help with it.

"And it is. Although personally I'm probably going to crash and fall asleep long before I ride out the storm."

"Long day of protectin' an' servin'?" He laughs and then glances down at his phone when it buzzes, smirking a little when he sees a text from James. "One o' your colleagues is scoldin' me for goin' out in a snowstorm. I think it was worth it."

He signals the bartender and holds up his empty whiskey glass before looking over at Levi. "Can I get ya another?"

"Which one? We take a very personal interest in the safety of community members. We have a quota of friends to check up on every month. Like speeding tickets, only friendlier," he said. At the offer of another drink Levi nodded. Already his head was pounding from all the people around and any alcohol to dull the pain would be welcome.

"Since there's no determined enough to come chastise me in this weather for drinking on duty I wouldn't mind one more."

"James Thornton," Davin says with a little smile and a blush on his cheeks that he quickly tries to shake off. He grins and reaches out to grip Levi's shoulder as he gestures the bartender over. "Aye, there ya go. Pretty sure we're all stuck in here tonight, so ya might as well play civilian."

"Detective Thornton is very, very grumpy," Levi said, although it wasn't hard to see why Davin might be so amused by James' interest in him. James was a pretty good looking guy and could probably benefit a lot from some romantic interest. Or carnal interest at the least. "Just consider me police liaison in charge of making sure everyone snowed in at a club enjoys themselves."
