Wait out the storm in Watersong... (Open!)
Lara watched the weather closely. Looked like it was going to be a rough night. The storm had swept in a little further down the coast and it was headed their way. The bar wasn't completely full but storms either cleared out the patrons or brought them. Judging by the steadily building trickle, this was a 'bring them in' kind of night.

Stepping behind the bar, Lara grinned at Michael. "Might be busy. Better get some vodka on ice...I think snowy cocktails are going to be in demand tonight." Michael only grunted and sighed in a put upon way. She laughed and went back to her stool at the end of the bar looking out over the filling dancefloor.
[ooc: feel free to pitch up and enjoy the storm!]

She said of course too often. "I haven't talked to anyone in four years because of magical reasons." Whatever, this night was ruined anyway. "The only one who knows that I l- " She licked her lips. "That I'm le-" Her breath hitched. "- is my brother. I'm trying to be better."

The light bulb went off in Laras mind. "You're not looking for...masculine company. It's okay. You're among friends here." She grinned. "And I happen to know more than a few like yourself are here tonight."
no subject
"I'm not looking for a lover or something." Her cheeks were burning. "Or even - just to get ..out. Out here, not like coming out. You know."
no subject
Lara grinned. "I know. Just know you're welcome here whenever you want to relax. Or not." She winked.

"I kn- I need another drink. Something with alcohol." Lena's was still trying to work up the nerve to talk with another woman. Another woman that wasn't Lara. She wasn't going to think about ..other stuff already.

Waving a hand, Lara brought the bartender over. "Get this lady whatever she wants. On me." Lara said. "I hope you have a good night here, whatever you're looking for."
no subject
While Lena was being honest anyway. "And .. if you see Levi, can you thank him for taking care of the cat?"
no subject
Lara frowned. "The cat? You mean Bach's cat that he looked after for a little bit a while ago?"
no subject
no subject
"How do you know that cat?" Lara asked, leaning on the bar, smiling. "I thought Bach still had her."
no subject
"A ginger one." It almost didn't hurt. "Cinderella was a young woman."
no subject
Lara eye'd Lena and then she reached out with her other senses. There was an aura of magic around her that Lara recognised as witches magic but she couldn't pin it down as something she'd felt before. "Well if Bach's cat was a woman, my dog Osha is going to be sad. They made friends, I think."
no subject
Lena hadn't even thought about that yet. But dogs had like no memory about friendships or something, so if Cinderella just wouldn't ever come back .. Osha had been big and warm and soft and always seemed to know when Lena had needed some extra attention.
"Maybe you can get her a real cat?"
no subject
"I think she'd love that, but I think one giant hairball is probably enough for me." Lara said with a laugh. "Plus I have Levi and he'd get jealous if I have to split my attention three ways." She winked at Lena.
no subject
She sipped her drink. "Anyway, that's just want I wanted to say. I didn't know how to talk to him about it and you were here now anyway .."
no subject
"Well he's over there." Lara said, pointing towards the end of the bar. "You can tell him yourself if you like."

Lara nodded. "Well have a good night, miss Lena. I'm sure I'll see you again." She smiled.
no subject
Yes, she should leave Lara alone. Lena nodded. "Thank you. Yes. Enjoy your - good night as well."
