Beach BBQ [Open]

Levi's idea for a beach party had been a good one. After the past few weeks they both needed to blow off a little steam and Lara had taken to the idea like the proverbial siren to water, inviting all her employees and friends. Levi had put the word out at the police station and among his closer friends so between them a decent crowd was forming.

The tables lining the beach were piled high with food and drink, a DJ was already in full swing and people were drifting over to the large bonfire for warmth as the chill started to cut through the summer evening. A few of the Heart of Gold employees had brought their kids along for the festivities and a friend of Lara's was performing little glamours and tricks to keep them entertained. Large clusters of huge pillows were dotted about the beach just a little way from Levi's house and lanterns and firelight bathed the whole area in a warm glow.

Maybe Lara had taken it a little far but she liked to treat her friends and everyone could use a little R&R.

OOC: Levi and Lara's friends have been officially invited, but everyone else feel free to wander in at your leisure~.

"Gosh, I know! That'd be like... I dunno, a police commander hiring an escort regularly!" she gasps, lashes fluttering in painfully fake shock. "That would just be wrong."

"Shocking." Lara agreed. "Imagine if it ever got out."

"That'd be horrible! Then I couldn't use it for blackmail," she smirks.

Lara laughed heartily. "You're going to go far with that attitude."

"Just you wait," Alex grins, finishing off her drink. "This time next year, I'll be officially running that precinct."

[asharpertongue]

"Oh please. You much prefer pulling the strings behind the scenes. That's what makes you a good siren."

Alex sighs dreamily. "I so do. Even if I don't always get the recognition for the various badass shit I bring into being."

Lara patted Alex's knee. "I appreciate you. And men and women appreciate you on a nightly basis. Any more appreciation and you'll never get through the door of the station with such a swollen head."

"They appreciate me so well," she grins, biting her lip. "And I appreciate them back, for the most part. Especially the ladies."

Lara grinned. "Have a little preference for anyone lately?" She asked, examining her nails.

"Not in particular. I've got my eye on a couple ladies at this party that may get my undivided attention for awhile though, I have to admit."

[asharpertongue]

"Oh?" Lara said, genuinely curious.

[secretarialsiren]

"Mmm... If they're hot enough and have a good enough personality, I can stick with them for awhile," she shrugs. "I doubt I could ever do proper monogamy, but for a little while? Sure."

Lara laughed. "And who would be the lucky ladies?"

She looks around, gesturing to the ones she's had her eye on. "Only three this time," she smirks. "Either my standards are getting too high, or I'm losing my touch."

Lara nods approvingly. "Well your taste hasn't diminished."

[secretarialsiren]

Alex winks at her. "I'm glad you think so. I'd be hella disappointed if it had."

"So what do you have planned to seduce them? I sense they may be more tricky than sweet little Bambi police officers..."

[secretarialsiren]

"I mean, Lara... Not even hardened sexual veterans can resist this," she points out, running her hands over her curves. "These babies are more potent than any love potion a witch could brew up."
