Beach BBQ [Open]

Levi's idea for a beach party had been a good one. After the past few weeks they both needed to blow off a little steam and Lara had taken to the idea like the proverbial siren to water, inviting all her employees and friends. Levi had put the word out at the police station and among his closer friends so between them a decent crowd was forming.
The tables lining the beach were piled high with food and drink, a DJ was already in full swing and people were drifting over to the large bonfire for warmth as the chill started to cut through the summer evening. A few of the Heart of Gold employees had brought their kids along for the festivities and a friend of Lara's was performing little glamours and tricks to keep them entertained. Large clusters of huge pillows were dotted about the beach just a little way from Levi's house and lanterns and firelight bathed the whole area in a warm glow.
Maybe Lara had taken it a little far but she liked to treat her friends and everyone could use a little R&R.
OOC: Levi and Lara's friends have been officially invited, but everyone else feel free to wander in at your leisure~.

For all the bad that'd happened recently, tonight looked like a welcomed distraction, a chance to let loose, for many in town. He too felt lighter than he had in weeks, almost he dare say happy. He gives Lara a small smile, some of that was thanks to her. She had given Les a chance, taking him on as her assistant. "Still in the planning parts. Thanks for that list by the way. Michael gave it to me this morning." He really had no clue where to even begin on this, but Lara's list of open properties was a starting point.
"I'm not sure what I'm even looking for," he admits.

Lara nodded. "Don't go huge cavernous space. You'll rattle around lost. Did you look at the two bedroom places over on the north side? They were nice." Les deserved something nice and the north side was affordable without being ostentatious. "Corry would probably be good to take around with you, actually." That might do them both some good.

No huge cavernous spaces. That was certain. He had told Riley he needed more room, but nothing extravagant. Just some space to do a little magic, which was the thing carrying him forward on the idea the most. "Not yet. Maybe this weekend. I'd hoped Riley would be game, but bringing Corry might not be a bad idea too." She had a vivid imagination, and would probably be able to see things Les couldn't.

"Oh god. Corry and Riley?? Good luck." Lara said in mock horror.

"I agree. She needs to know how to defend herself." It was a shame her mother had forced her to deny her true form all those years. It could've saved her from Joseph; there was no doubt. "But there's been a bit too much activity around this town lately if you ask me." And that was Les putting it lightly. Things were on the cusp of going south again. Evil was creeping up too regularly these days.
