"Absolutely," Joel agrees with a shy smile, his hand smoothing over Spencer's back as he slowly begins to walk back toward shore. The beach is still deserted and quiet, and he doesn't think they're going to have much of a problem getting dressed again, even if they're both more than a little uncomfortable for the trip back to Spencer's. He's tired now, but he thinks by the time they get back to Spencer's house the walk and the breeze will have woken him up, but he always gets like this with Spencer. He's always perfectly content and prepared to simply curl up, to wrap himself around Spencer and to tug him close so he can sleep. It's the happiest he's ever felt.
"And the water will be much warmer, too," he adds, his smile growing a little as he glances over at Spencer, which he thinks will be welcome for both of them. The breeze has picked up a bit and now that they're coming out of the water Joel is feeling fairly cool, goosebumps rising on his wet skin. He wishes again that he'd thought to brought a towel, because they're either going to have to get dressed still wet or stand in the cool breeze until they dry.
"Okay, your decision," he says, reaching for Spencer's hand and tugging him back toward the rocks. The wind won't be as bad there, but it's not exactly going to be warm and he can already feel himself starting to shiver. "Get dressed while we're wet or wait until we're dry? I didn't bring a towel, but I also hadn't planned on the moonlight swim." No matter how cold he might be now, though, he doesn't regret a second of it.
