Amusing for a little while, Les shrugs in agreement at that. That was pretty much his entire existence in a nutshell. He was amusing up until the moment people seemed to notice he was a fuck-up, but it suited him well. He managed to get by and that's all he could ask for. What he'd never considered is that he might actually be useful to Lara in some capacity by taking this job. He just needed something to cover the rent. She on the other hand was, like, investing time and energy into Les, and he wasn't sure he was ready for all that.
